Feminist Disney, I’m black and I wanted to fall in love with PatF. I love Tiana, but I just don’t identify with her and her movie was a mess besides the whole frog thing. I wanted fantasy and escapism, not a mundane tale of the south with some magical elements. Yet PatF may be the only black princess movie for the next 20 years.
