it’s amusing how people do not ever- ever ever ever- care about how historically accurate a movie is or isn’t (with the exception of movies covering specific historical events, not relevant to Brave though)… until it becomes a question of, “Why were there no POC in this movie, why is the cast  still all white in 20__?”

And suddenly not only are they avid history students and teachers, but they will defend to the death the historical accuracy of their films that are laughably inaccurate, because they are entertainment movies only and not intended to be historical documentaries.    

Like really, who actually cares if a film has “historical representation accuracy”??  If it’s a film about a queen’s life or something and they happen to show more women in it, are you going to crap on that because the film happens to feature a 65% female cast when we all know that historically there were a lot less of them whenever “then” was?  Are you really the type of person to count up the # of black people in a film and be like, “Nope that was 2 more than what would have been statistically accurate for 1973, boycott this super historically inaccurate film”??
