I understand there are extreme cases where other considerations should be made, specifically rape, but in general i believe we can apply the all time famous slogan “if you do the crime, you do the time”
Oh, stop. Rape exception? Really? We’re going there? Please explain, because no one ever has, why an embryo/fetus conceived by rape is less valuable to you than one conceived by consensual sex. Because if this is really all about the life of the fetus, then the circumstances of conception shouldn’t matter. But see, what I’m getting from you, and every other “pro-life” hypocrite who thinks there should be exceptions for rape and incest, is that what you’re really interested in is making sure people who have sex pay for it, or “do the time,” as you so charmingly put it. And that’s pretty shitty, don’t you think?
So please, explain. Why are some pregnancies less worth “saving” to you?

Yeah, that is definitely one of the main illogical points of some pro-lifers. If it’s the fetus that matters/is important, you have to own to rape pregnancies being included in that. If the life of the woman also matters which is why rape tends to be excluded, then you have to acknowledge that there is more to the argument than just what happens to the fetus.
